The Interdisciplinary Studies minor allows students to design a minor which complements their major, career goals, or personal interests. The minor requires at least 18 hours in two or three departmental areas with at least six hours in two areas beyond the general education requirements. 9 of these 18 hours must be at the 300 level. No course in the student's major, whether or not required, may be taken for this minor. The student must provide a written statement of rationale for the minor including the specific courses to be used and must have the written approval of his or her advisor and the division chair of one of the student's major field of study.
